Welcome Letters

Алан Флауш, Международный союз общественного транспорта

Alain Flausch, The International Association of Public Transport

Dear Colleagues,
From 29th November to 1st December 2016, the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), Moscow Metro and Mosgortrans, the largest public transport operators in Eurasia, will be holding the 4th Eurasia Public Transport Congress and Exhibition ExpoCityTrans in Moscow under the motto "Your ticket to a seamless future".

Public transport benefits for the environment, city, its inhabitants and businesses are undisputable. Public transport companies today are usually leading in terms of number of employees, and may rightfully be regarded as the largest employers in cities. The need for further development of public transport is obvious for all.

ExpoCityTrans is an exhibition of public transport technologies and products and a one-day conference on latest developments in our sector. The 4th edition of ExpoCityTrans will take place in the frame of UITP Board meetings and Transport Week Congress and Exhibition ‘Transport Russia 2016” organized by the Ministry of Transport. We expect transport stakeholders from Eurasian industries, operators and authorities and guests from all over the world.

Eurasia Congress and Exhibition will provide public transport professionals with a platform for international exchange of experience and demonstration of best practices in tackling concrete problems. Effectively promoting innovative solutions and displaying the recent achievements in the transport industry will help demonstrating the innovations and technology that are helping to make cities better places to live and work.

We are convinced that your participation in ExpoCityTrans will inspire you towards daring solutions and will result, through a joint effort of all of us, in better public transport systems in the Eurasian region.

We look forward to meeting you in Moscow!

Alain Flausch
